Doran Real Estate ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard information when you use the Doran Real Estate mobile application ("the App"). The App is free and open to the public — you do not need to sign in, create an account, or enter a code to use it.
Information We Collect
The App is designed to minimize the information it collects. The following is stored locally on your device:
Journey Path: Whether you've chosen the Buyer or Seller path.
Checklist Progress: Which steps you've marked complete on the Buyer or Seller checklist.
The App does not collect your name, email address, or phone number. If you choose to contact Ericka via the App's contact features, your device's native mail, phone, or messaging applications are opened — the App itself does not capture or store anything you send.
The Home Match Quiz collects your answers temporarily in memory so it can include them in an email message you then choose to send via your device's native mail app. The App does not store quiz answers after you exit the screen.
How We Use Information
We use the information stored on your device to:
Remember whether you're following the Buyer or Seller path so the App shows the right resources.
Track your progress on the step-by-step checklists.
Improve the App's stability and features through anonymous crash reporting (see below).
Data Storage
Your journey path and checklist progress are stored locally on your device using standard iOS storage mechanisms (UserDefaults). This information is not transmitted off your device. When you explicitly choose to contact Ericka via the App, your device's native mail, phone, or messaging applications handle the message — the App does not transmit or store its contents.
Crash Reporting and Diagnostics
The App uses Firebase Crashlytics, a service provided by Google, to collect anonymous crash reports and diagnostic data. This helps us identify and fix issues to improve app stability. The data collected includes:
Crash logs: Technical information about what caused the app to crash, including stack traces and device state.
Performance data: Anonymous metrics such as app launch time, memory usage, and hang detection, forwarded from Apple's MetricKit framework.
Device information: Device model, operating system version, and app version.
App context: Your selected journey path (Buyer or Seller), to help us reproduce issues. No personally identifiable information is included.
Crash data is transmitted to Google's Firebase servers and is subject to Google's Firebase Privacy Policy. No personal information such as names or email addresses is included in crash reports.
Third-Party Services
The App contains links to third-party websites and uses the following third-party service:
Zillow: Property listings opened via external links. Zillow's own privacy policy applies when you visit their site.
Google Firebase Crashlytics: Collects anonymous crash reports and diagnostic data to improve app stability. See the Crash Reporting section above for details.
Information Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or rent personal information to third parties. We may share information only:
When you explicitly request to contact Ericka Doran via the App's contact features.
To comply with applicable legal obligations.
To protect our rights, privacy, safety, or the safety of others.
Data Retention
Your journey path and checklist progress are stored on your device until you choose to delete them or uninstall the App. To clear all locally stored data, delete the App from your device and reinstall it from the App Store.
Children's Privacy
The App is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected information from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete it promptly.
Your Rights
You have the right to:
Access the personal information we have about you.
Request correction of inaccurate information.
Request deletion of your information.
Opt out of communications at any time.
California Residents
If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know what personal information is collected, the right to request deletion, and the right to opt out of the sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information. Please contact us to exercise these rights.
Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information. Because data is stored locally on your device, security relies in part on your device's own protections (passcode, Face ID, etc.). No method of electronic storage is 100% secure, but we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your information.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy within the App and updating the "Effective Date" above. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
